Last week was an important week that happens the first Wednesday of each year. It was our official Annual Meeting, where the slate of Officers and Board Members for 2014 was voted in.

I'd like to thank all of you for your service to our club, and congratulate you on your new positions! You will be formerly installed at our first meeting of the new year, which will be January 8th.
For our speaker last week we had Curt LoGiudice from Catty Shack Ranch, the wildlife sanctuary on the north side of Jacksonville. It was very interesting hearing about all the big cats and other endangered species, and how they come about arriving at the ranch to live. If you haven't visited, plan to do so, you will enjoy it!
We had our annual Holiday Gala at the Upper West Club of Everbank field, and it was a top notch affair! This is always a 'do not miss' event each year, and this one was no exception. I'd like to thank 4th Vice President Julie Clements, and her Chairwoman Jackie Wilson, for their hard work in putting on such a wonderful event.
This week our speaker will be Matt Shirk, Public Defender, 4th Circuit. Matt gives a very informative talk on what a busy place the Public Defender's office is, and what a huge load they carry. Hope to see you all Wednesday!
