This past week we had a wonderful presentation for the Youth Achievers Program. I'd like to thank 3rd Vice President Patrick Heatherington, and his Chairman Harry Peltz, for putting on such a great event. We had Mayor Alvin Brown, Ken Jefferson from Channel 4, and Ashley Smith-Juarez from the Duval County School Board as our primary guests. We had a special presentation from the Robert E. Lee Honor Guard, who presented the colors and followed that with a demonstration from the Armed Rifle squad. We gave away awards for 2 Teachers of the Year, and certificates were handed out to all of the School Patrol, from Pine Forest Elementary. If you were a sponsor of this event, the club greatly appreciates your contribution.
This week will be our Annual Wine Tasting, and will be done this year by Jeanne Maron of The Gifted Cork in St Augustine. The wine should be wonderful, and the presentation should be a great kickoff to a long weekend. I hope all of you make it to the meeting, but if not, everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Our annual Holiday Gala is Saturday, December 7th, at the Upper West Club at Everbank Field at 7:00 PM. Hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, dinner and dancing! $75 per person. CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS SHOPPING SPREE

Our annual Children's Christmas Shopping Spree will be at Target in Mandarin on December 14th. We will be meeting at 6:15am to escort 30 children around the store as they shop for themselves and their family for Christmas.
This is first come first served and we fill up every year so don't miss out on this great opportunity.

The 68th Annual Gator Bowl Game, will be held on January 1st 2014, at EverBank Field, between the SEC and the Big 10. The raffle drawing is for: 6 game tickets, a parking pass, and 6 admissions into the Budweiser Tailgate Party (food, beverages and entertainment) held outside the south endzone!
As always, 1 raffle ticket/$5, 3 tickets/$10, or 7 tickets/$20 (best value). Drawing for this $700 package will be at the Club meeting on December 18th.
