PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Jepp Walter, SBMC 2013 PresidentJepp Walter, President
Southside Business Men's Club

(904) 838-8400

Last week was a busy week, but that's the theme for May!  We had our Youth Achievers Charity Golf Classic last Monday, and it was a beautiful day, and a beautifully ran golf tournament.  I'd like to thank Jay Cann, Crump Kirby, Rick Thompson, among a host of other volunteers.  It was a wonderful event, and I can't wait till next year.

Then on Wednesday we had our own Bill Bishop, the President of City Council, as our Guest Speaker.  Bill advised us on the happenings in city government, and what we can expect to come up in the future as well.  It's very nice to have such a knowledgeable person amongst our membership.  It was also nice to see Honorable Charles McBurney in our crowd as well.  We've got the city and state government covered with active members!

In June, we have 2 big dates;  the first one is on June 7th, which is the deadline to get on our Cruise that will be on September 13th- 16th.  That is going to be a blast, we had more people sign up last week!  Almost a week later, we will have a Meet a Member on the 13th, at Aromas!  That will be a lot of fun.  And this is just to see if you are still reading this... If you come up to me at the  meeting and tell me what Bill Bishop's REAL job is, I'll buy you 5 of the 50/50 tickets.  So I hope you are having or had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend, and I'll see you Wednesday!
