It is hard to believe that December is here... What a great year our club has had... and the year is not over yet!  We still have some exciting activities coming up - the SBMC Holiday Gala, Children's Christmas Shopping Spree, Golf Outing, and Gator Bowl Raffle.

You will find the details of our remaining events in this issue of the newsletter.  Have a great week and I look forward to seeing you this Wednesday at the SBMC Annual Meeting.

Quote of the week: "The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand." -

Vince Lombardi

Galina Schott,

2012 SBMC President

As per our By-Laws, a Nominating Committee was formed to determine a slate of candidates to be the officers and Board members of our club for 2013. Their report was presented to the Board at the meeting on November 14th. On November 21st, this slate was presented to the membership in attendance and nominations from the floor were accepted at that time. Below are those running for each position. We will have an election by ballot at our regular meeting on December 5 and in order to vote you need to be present then. All individual members in good standing are eligible to vote. If you have a Business Membership, and it is in good standing, the primary member, but not the alternate, is eligible to vote. Each eligible voter will be presented with a ballot upon check in at the meeting. Ballots will be collected at an appropriate time during the meeting and then counted with the results of the election reported to the membership prior to the end of the meeting.

2012 Chairman Board of Governors

In this busy time of the year, I want to thank those of you who continue to come to meetings and bring guests, participate in SBMC activities, and make the club a priority as you make the most of your membership. We've enjoyed a great year, and are very close to reaching our goal of 100 new members! We have a few weeks left, and this is a very festive time for new folks to come check us out and join in time to be included in our membership directory for 2013. With your help, we can finish the year strong and welcome lots of new faces to network with and do business with. Remember that we're having a contest through the end of the year for who can bring in the most new members for 2012, with a $1,000 cash prize to the winner! But really, as we bring in new members, we all win.

Julie Wesling,
2012 SBMC Membership Co-chair
