How Much Toweling Do I Need?
|
Old Fashioned Toweling by the yard. Make kitchen towels, table runners, curtains, pillows, or aprons!
Toweling by the yard is 16" wide 100% cotton, and is machine washable. Hemmed on the sides.
We also offer toweling by the bolt. Call us at 785-243-4044 if you need large amounts as we can order in more. Most bolts are between 13 & 17 yards. Use this handy toweling chart to calculate how much fabric you need for towels. Most of our customers prefer a 27" (3/4 yd) towel.
| 1 Towel = 3/4 yd 2 Towels = 1 1/2 yds 3 Towels = 2 1/4 yds 4 Towels = 3 yds 5 Towels = 3 3/4 yds 6 Towels = 4 1/2 yds 7 Towels = 5 1/4 yds 8 Towels = 6 yds 9 Towels = 6 3/4 yds 10 Towels = 7 1/2 yds |
Note: Some toweling, as shown at the top of this newsletter, have squares in the design. In order to avoid cutting through the squares, we have figured 4 rows of squares for one towel, which is about 32 1/2", and the price for those designs reflect that measurement.
Trims - 1 yard of trim (Ric Rac, Crochet Trim, Lace) will be enough for one strip across both ends of the towel.

This unique table runner is made from Toweling! The original pattern calls for two yards of toweling, which is enough to make a runner and pillow wrap. We decided to use the entire two yards to make a long table runner, and we added additional snowflakes in the middle. Kit includes: Scandia Stag pattern, DMC floss, White and Red Felt for applique.
The kit will also make the shorter table runner and pillow cover shown below.
