The next two weeks are action-packed here at the store!

We have three trunk shows on display: Laura Nownes, Plum Tree Quilts, and Nancy Rink have all loaned us beautiful quilts to show you. These will be on display until August 1st. 

 

Heartland Shop Hop starts Thursday, July 11th, and runs for two weekends. Read more about it below. We hope you can make it!

 Laura Nownes Trunk Show! 
Designer Spotlight: Laura Nownes

Laura Nownes' passion for making quilts is an extension of her love of sewing. She began as a child with doll clothes and then moved on to making her own garments. After taking her first sampler quilt class in Berkeley, CA in 1979, she knew she had found a lifelong interest. 
Laura went on to design many innovative and dimensional quilt patterns and write several books with Diane McCLun such as Q is for Quilt. 
 

 

Below are just a few examples of Laura's extraordinary quilt patterns sold at Fabric Essentials. Laura has loaned us a variety of quilts and aprons, and we have these on display in the store until August 1st. Stop in to see them!

Note that the fabrics used for these quilts are from the Stonehenge-Woodland Spring Collection, which is also used for our Stonehenge BOM Program!

This pattern includes directions for three different quilts--Prism, Rainbow Square, and Weave--that can be made from one 2 1/2" strip roll. The fabrics shown are Marcus Ombre hand-dyes. To get the exact look, you'll need the following StripIt rolls:
