Transportation Freight Broker-Account Executive
Requirements Analytical approach to logistics planning that creatively problem-solves challenges, competitive nature and a desire to surpass existing goals.
Duties The Account Executive will position themselves between the shipper and the carrier in order to move product from its origination point to the final destination in a professional, timely and accurate fashion. The Account Executive position requires both a sales and an operational piece within a third-party logistics environment, specific to freight via full truckload.
Experience Prefer two (2) years in a full truckload environment including expedited, flatbed and oversized loads, with a keen understanding of overall freight movement; prefer previous experience in a sales/business development environment.
Wages $30,000 - $36,000 per year, DOE.

Compass Human Resource Management is a family- owned company built to deliver core HR, payroll, workforce solutions and risk management services with the "Handshake of the Host" to companies within The Villages' business community.
For eight years prior to launching Compass HRM, Executive Vice President Leslie Gibbons collaborated with Workforce Connection on a daily basis in partnerships with the College of Central Florida directing programs for veterans, displaced workers and welfare transition participants.
Now that Compass HRM is on the hiring side of the fence, Gibbons said, "we get to work with those same professionals at Workforce Connection to help us place their clients in positions."
One of the companies Compass HRM works with, Citizens First Wholesale Mortgage Company of The Villages, was recently in need of an underwriting manager, a position Gibbons said was "very important to the company's functioning."
Gibbons noted that Workforce Connection staff worked "diligently to help us find that person and she was hired immediately. What a relief to the president of the mortgage company to find such a qualified candidate."
When it was time to begin hiring for the first of eight family practice clinics, Gibbons said "Workforce Connection again rose to the occasion" with tailored testing, internship offerings and screenings.
