Must-See IPPS Tour in Ohio
Grafting at Decker's Nursery

We will head north from Cincinnati to the Columbus area on the Pre-Conference Tour Friday, September 25th. You will have a choice, after seeing several production demonstrations at Decker's Nursery, to continue on to other nurseries or to go to sites with an educational/botanical flavor.  It will be a tough decision!  Click HERE for more. . .

Giant Seed Gliders

You just have to see this remarkable footage of falling Alsomitra vine seeds, which use paper-thin wings to disperse like giant gliders.   At nearly 6 inches across, they are among the largest winged seeds produced by any plant yet the seed's wings are less than .012 inches thick.  It is absolutely captivating!  Click HERE.

HRI Research Project Reports

The Horticultural Research Institute (HRI) financially supports research projects on a broad range of issues important to the green industry. The IPPS Eastern Region has committed funds to HRI to support this research.  Each year we announce the projects to be funded by IPPS-ER but for the first time, you can see the progress made by past grant recipients.  Click HERE
