Big Church Work Day this Saturday, June 27!

Come on down this Saturday, June 27, from 8:00 AM - Noon, for a big church work day filled with summer projects!  Included on the list is work in the Sloggett Center (finish cork edge in the hall, replace courtyard lights) and also in the gym (paint room on the Lihue side for the Music Director's new office) and cleaning Hale Lani windows. We will also clean the Sacristy and fill the dips in the grass by the deck. Be sure to come on down for some fellowship and to keep our property smiling! Spread the word! Lots of hands make light work!
Heavenly Hikes this Sunday, June 28: Anapalau Point

Heavenly Hikes takes place this Sunday, June 28, after the second service. This monthʻs hike will go to Anapalau Point that will take hikers past Donkey Beach and onto the cane haul roads between Kealia and Anahola. We will have an opportunity to explore remote and pristine beaches of Kauai's Eastside. Bring a swimsuit because at the turn-around point we will have a chance to take a swim in Anapalau Bay.

Those interested in joining the hike can meet after the second service at 11:15 AM and carpool or caravan over, or meet at the Donkey Beach parking lot. Parking is limited! We are recommending carpools. Be sure to bring water, hat, a light lunch or snack, and swim wear.

There will also be grilled fruit, potato salad, salad fixings, watermelon, pie and ice cream, coffee, juice, Mimosas and root beer floats!

Laundry Love Kauai Updates - Volunteers Needed!

With the first run under our belts, volunteers met to discuss the Laundry Love Kauai (LLK) operation this past Wednesday. Lots of ideas and suggestions were shared as roles and operational procedures are adjusted and worked out over the next couple months. A revised guide with detailed descriptions will be posted on the website next week, and will also be made available at Church where volunteers can sign up for upcoming Laundry Love dates. All are welcome to take part in this rewarding outreach ministry. For more information, visit the LLK webpage HERE.
ONGOING REMINDERS:
All Creatures Great & Small at July Saturday Market!
Our July Saturday Market and Swap Meet will be all about animals and our pets, and we are currently working with the Kauai Humane Society to bring some pups for adoption.  Along with our regular line-up of fabulous crafters, we are seeking vendors with animal services and items to participate for free, that could include pet sitters, trainers, groomers, pet treats, fish breeders & aquariums, birds, and most anything to do with all creatures great and small! Free spaces are limited, so sign up or inquire early.  For more information, visit the webpage HERE, or to register, click HERE.

FOOD VENDORS WANTED! We are also looking for food/coffee vendors that will make the Saturday Market a regular site. If you know of any potential food vendors, please share the word and have them visit our webpage HERE, or e-mail [email protected]

POP-UP TENTS AVAILABLE FOR RENT!  The church has made available a couple pop-up tents that vendors may rent for $10. We are offering this option for new vendors that may want to "test the waters" before purchasing a tent of their own. These go fast, so requests should be made early.
Volunteers Needed! Practices begin July 7!

June Special Collections for Hale Ho'omalu
school supplies During the month of June, the ladies of the ECW will be making a special collection of school supplies for Hale Ho'omalu, a family services center located a half-block away from the church.  Donations of other canned and packaged goods are always welcome as well as monetary gifts. All donations can be left in the red wagon at the church entrance every Sunday.
Worship Enhancements Available!
Dont' forget to ask for a headset or large-print service bulletin! Both items are available through our ushers who will be more than happy to set you up!

The nursery has also been hooked up so that the service can be heard through a speaker in that room. Parents with very young children can now sit and relax with them while they play, and are also able to hear the service.
PICTURE OF THE WEEK:
Celebrating a Second Anniversary!

The Newmanʻs take a quick moment during the potluck to mark this special time.  We are so blessed and grateful to have them as part of the All Saintsʻ ʻohana, and the Kauaʻi community has also been blessed by their presence and work.
WHAT'S BEEN HAPPENING AT ALL SAINTS':
Celebrating Fathers & Fr. Ryan!

On Sunday, June 21, members had big reason to celebrate. Not only was it Fatherʻs Day, but also when we celebrate Fr.Ryanʻs second anniversary with All Saintsʻ. There were just a sprinkling of "fathers" at the first service, but that didnʻt stop Ke Akua Youth Group members from presenting them with Fatherʻs Day magnets they made. Pictured above, Braden shared how he was grateful for his dad, and that he would spend the day showing his dad the respect he deserves. Reis attended both services with Eryn and Daileen joining him at the second service. Luckily there were a lot more dads in the pews!

But Fatherʻs Day wasnʻt the only cause for celebration. Leis were presented to Fr. Ryan and Erin during the second service, marking two years since they arrived to serve our community. A potluck followed where members gathered to eat, fellowship and reflect on the many changes that have taken place since their arrival.

Proper 8

Almighty God, you have built your Church upon the
foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself
being the chief cornerstone: Grant us so to be joined together in unity of spirit by their teaching, that we may be made a holy temple acceptable to you; through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God,
for ever and ever.  Amen.
