Deadline This Sunday for the Prize Drawing!
Have you completed your Church Member Profile Form?
All Saints' is updating its member profiles and this Sunday, May 17, is the deadline to turn in your Church Member Profile Form in order to be entered in the prize drawing being held during both services! If you haven't already turned it in, bring it in this Sunday so your name can be put in the basket!
Forms will continue to be accepted even after the drawing. Be sure to take a moment to complete the form that will be used to update information we may already have on file, and to fill in other information that we don't have such as your contact information, birthdate, baptism/confirmation dates, etc. If for some reason you did not receive a form, please let Chris Wataya know by e-mailing her, or call the church office at 822-4267. Get your RED ready!
Pentecost Sunday coming up May 24
Coming up soon is Pentecost Sunday which marks the end of the Easter Season. The Church will be dressed in red as we celebrate the descent of the Holy Spirit on the disciples of Jesus after his Ascension, held on the seventh Sunday after Easter. So get out your red, and get ready to celebrate! |
Summer Sunday School Volunteers Needed
Sunday, May 31, will be the last day of regular Sunday school for the church year, and Summer Sundays will begin. If you enjoy working with children, we could use your help! We are looking for a few volunteers to help with Summer Sundays on a rotation basis during the months of June, July and August. Instead of regular Bible lessons, Summer Sundays will involve Christian crafts, games and Bible story-time. No experience necessary. If you are interested, please see Sybil or e-mail her at halelani@hawaiiantel.net. |
New Ministry to Kick-off on June 17
All Saints' newest outreach ministry will be kicking off in June. 12 years ago, the idea for Laundry Love was sparked from a conversation with a homeless man in Ventura County, CA. "If I had clean clothes I think people would treat me like a human being." From this simple statement, Laundry Love was born and has now spread nationwide, offering laundry services to the poor and homeless.
All Saints' has partnered up with Laundry Love to provide this service to our community here in Kapa'a, at the laundromat behind the Shell Service Station and next to Ace Hardware. Twice a month on the first and third Wednesdays of the month, volunteers will offer to wash, dry and fold laundry to all who come, and spend some time to get to know our neighbors who may be struggling, just a little better. Details are being worked out. If you would like to volunteer in this ministry, a sign-up sheet will be available at the Church entrance table, or fill out the form on the new webpage HERE.

Seventh Sunday of Easter: The Sunday After Ascension Day
O God, the King of glory, you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven: Do not leave us comfortless, but send us your Holy Spirit to strengthen us, and exalt us to that place where our Savior Christ has gone before; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God,
in glory everlasting. Amen.
