The Ke Akua Youth Group and ECW are teaming up again to battle cancer! Beginning March 1, at the First Saturday Market and after the 9:30 Sunday services, luminarias in support of the American Cancer Society will be available for purchase. The bags are $5 each and are set up at the event with a candle that is lit at sundown. You can either decorate them yourself, or have our youth decorate it for you along with the name of someone that has battled or is battling cancer. You can also donate online to our team (All Saints Angels) or an individual team member HERE.
This year's Relay for Life will be taking place on Saturday May 3-4 in Hanapepe. Last year, the team raised over $3,500 for the American Cancer Society, and won the "Lap Dance" trophy for their choreographed number!

This year's ceremony will be on Saturday, April 26. Reaffirmations and Receptions also occur at the Confirmation Ceremony. Store Volunteers Share Lunch & Laughs
Volunteers of Hale Lani Christian Store enjoyed some downtime at their second annual volunteer luncheon at Kauai Pasta on Friday, February 21. Looking rather "smart" with labels on their foreheads, the gang shared quite a few laughs (and looks from diners), as well as a delicious lunch! We give thanks to the crew who volunteer their time and energy to man the store that the community has embraced whole-heartedly.

MAHALO TO OUR CHURCH 'OHANA!!!
Weekend Fundraiser a HUGE SUCCESS!
As the sun began to rise on a dry (yes DRY is worth mentioning after all the rain we've been having) Saturday morning, a few members of the Ke Akua Youth Group that stayed up all night were struggling to keep their eyes open. It was a long night of preparation and fellowship for the day's rummage sale ahead. Others were just getting up, preparing breakfast, and ready to start production on SPAM musubis. But everyone felt God's blessing for the break in weather that allowed the youth to have a very successful fundraiser!
Saturday's rummage sale (including generous donations from members) totaled $1,900, making the marathon over-nighter in Memorial Hall worth every yawn! Proceeds help fund the youth group's activities and mission work, that includes the upcoming Episcopal Youth Event (EYE'14) this summer in Philadelphia.
Under the food tent, youth and ECW members joined forces to raise money for Relay for Life. The ladies from the ECW baked and cooked up a storm with delicious goodies overflowing! Wayne Doliente served up his famous chili, and hot dogs and musubis were going fast. Over at Sloggett, the Kapa'a Interact Club was holding their car wash (with several youth members doing double duty), that certainly helped boost sales at the food booth. In just 4 hours, the bake sale and food booth made over $1,100! Relay for Life luminaria sales were also over $500, making the whole event a super success!!!
A HUGE MAHALO to our supportive church 'ohana and to all involved for their hard work to set-up and breakdown, for the donations of items to sell and for shopping so generously! Special shout out to Cathy Mikula in Ohio for always mailing us boxes and boxes of unused clothing---they are the first to go!!! Be sure to visit the All Saints' website HERE to view more photos from the event.

Heavenly Hikes First Outing was "Heavenly"!
After weeks of rain and temperamental weather, the first monthly Heavenly Hikes outing on Sunday was blessed with sunshine and gentle trades. About a dozen members gathered after the second service with hats and water bottles in hand. Mary Margaret led a quick blessing, and the group set off on their walk along the shoreline in Kapa'a. To view a slide show of their hike, visit the All Saints' website HERE. To learn more about this ministry and to sign up for e-mail updates, visit the webpage HERE. The next hike is scheduled for Sunday, March 30.

Eighth Sunday after the Epiphany
O Lord, you have taught us that without love whatever we do is worth nothing; Send your Holy Spirit and pour into our hearts your greatest gift, which is love, the true bond of peace and of all virtue, without which whoever lives is accounted dead before you. Grant this for the sake of your only Son Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
