The Newman family is now complete with the arrival of Dr. Erin, Nisha and Gilbert! The trio was greeted with leis at the Lihue Airport this past Wednesday, just in time to celebrate a happy 4th of July! They wasted no time checking out the beach and property, and social butterfly Gilbert (tan colored pup) has already created a fan base rivaling any celebrity!

2012 4th of July
Be sure to stay for the annual 4th of July BBQ that will be held this Sunday, July 7, following the second service. The Hospitality Ministry will be supplying a feast of hamburgers, veggieburgers, sausages, hot dogs, chicken, grilled fruit, potato salad, salad fixings, watermelon, pie and ice cream, and some awesome beverages! Whew!  You are welcome to contribute to the mix of food and drink, or donations are always welcome! Set-up of grills and tables will take place between services beginning at 8:00 am, so come on down if you're able.

Have you remembered a Hawai'i Episcopal Ministry in your estate plans?  If so, be sure to sign up to become a member of the Ho'ike Ulu Legacy Society. The group has recently announced the dates of their annual gatherings honoring their members. The first gathering will be a luncheon on Kaua'i on July 13. Please RSVP by Sunday, July 7, by e-mail to Jane Tonokawa, Chairperson for the Diocesan Planned Giving Commission. Other dates are as follows:
O'ahu: Saturday, September 7, Dinner
Maui:  Saturday, November 9, Dinner
Big Island of Hawai'i:  Friday, November 22, Dinner

Bishop's Visitation & Installation of Fr. Ryan

Mark your calendars for the Bishop's Visitation and Installation of Fr. Ryan on Sunday, July 14. 2013. The Bishop will be celebrating at both services, but the actual Installation of Fr. Ryan will take place during the 9:30 service. Be sure to attend this most special occasion!  A potluck reception will follow the service! 
ECW Special Collections for Hale Ho'omalu 
school supplies For the month of July, the ECW's special collection for Hale Ho'omalu will be school supplies. All Saints' has been a long time supporter of Hale Ho'omalu, a family service center located 1/2 block away from All Saints'. Other packaged and canned goods are always welcome as well as monetary donations, and can be left in the red wagon at the church entrance every Sunday.
KeAkua Youth Group 2013 Mission: O'ahu

The Ke Akua Youth Group missioners have returned from a full week of service on O'ahu. Please be sure to attend a special presentation about their mission that will take place on Sunday, August 4, between the two services. They are deeply grateful to their All Saints' 'ohana for their generosity and support. Save the date and come down to church at 8:00 am, as they share their experiences. Breakfast will be served! (The group is pictured above with staff from River of Life Mission, one of their favorite places that they served at.)


Mark your calendars for a special Rummage Sale
Saturday, August 24 - 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
All Saints' will be hosting a special rummage sale on behalf of member Carrie Sagucio. Proceeds from the sale will go to the Sagucio household, who are in need of immediate financial assistance. If you're looking to "clean house", consider bringing your gently used items to the rummage sale. We will begin collecting items one week before the sale. Stay tuned for more info...
