Church Work Day this Saturday, May 18
Lots on the list! Come on down!!!
This Saturday is the third Saturday of the month and that means a church work day! There are a ton of things to do including prepping the rectory kitchen floor (bring a sharp wide chisel if you have one), cleaning and straightening out the Sloggett store room, repairing a couple of doors in the gym, cleaning out the gym kitchen, clearing greenery around the rectory for termite tenting, and the usual cleaning of church windows and trash pick up. YUP! That's a lot---- but lots of hands make light work. Come on down! Work starts at 8:00 am and ends at noon.

May 19 is Pentecost Sunday - Wear Red!
This Sunday, May 19, is Pentecost Sunday, and following tradition, the church is dressed in red. Ne sure to wear red too! Pentecost comes 50 days after Easter Sunday where it gets its name from the Greek word "fiftieth day", and this year it falls on May 19. Why red? Red symbolizes the joy and fire of the Holy Spirit as it descended upon the Disciples. Read Acts 2 to refresh your memory! Oh, and don't forget to wear red!

All Saints' Directory Draft Pages are Missing!
Please "reproof" your listing...
This past Sunday was supposed to be the final day to make changes and additions to the new photo directory... sadly, after many people had made entries, the pages disappeared and has not yet turned up. There will be a new copy on the table at the church entrance this Sunday. It was updated with information through April 28, so if you made any changes or additions after that date, we will need you to "reproof" and enter your changes or additions again... so sorry for the inconvenience. We should be able to squeeze a photo in if you can e-mail it to Sybil ASAP...and please be sure to leave the directory on the church table, or give it to Chris or Sybil. Thank you!

ECW Special Food Collections for Hale Ho'omalu
For the month of May, the ECW's special food collection for Hale Ho'omalu will be canned goods! Requested items include soups, chili, pork & beans, SPAM, Vienna Sausage, tuna, fruit, vegetables, ravioli and spaghetti.
All Saints' has been a long time supporter of Hale Ho'omalu, a family service center located 1/2 block away from All Saints', but the ECW ladies have taken it a step further to be able to provide them with specific items needed each month. Other packaged and canned goods are always welcome as well as monetary donations, and can be left in the red wagon at the church entrance every Sunday.

The Day of Pentecost:
Whitsunday
Almighty God, on this day you opened the way of eternal life to every race and nation by the promised gift of your Holy Spirit: Shed abroad this gift throughout the world by the preaching of the Gospel, that it may reach to the ends of the earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Registration now open for TENS Stewardship Conference
First time LIVE webcast seminars offered!!!
Are you ready to blossom in stewardship? Are you looking to plant the seeds of faithful giving in your congregation and diocese? Do you want to network with others passionate about generosity and discipleship? If so, be sure to register for the 2013 TENS Flourish in Faith Stewardship Conference on July 12-13 at the Episcopal Commons of Utah, in Salt Lake City.
For the first time, select workshops will be offered live through the internet. The webcast registration package is only $75. To view the conference flyer and webcast workshop package, click HERE.
The conference is designed to offer congregational and diocesan stewardship teams theological, scriptural and practical aspects of stewardship formation and annual giving. Keynote speakers Sister Joan Chittister and Bishop Bruce Caldwell from the Episcopal Diocese of Wyoming will explore: what does it mean to flourish in our faith? How do we find our ground of faith? Is it rooted in a God of abundance, or do we let our faith wither in a culture of scarcity?
To learn more about the conference and to register, visit the TENS website HERE.
