Liberty had been informed by our origin partner, Expo Freight, of a short strike staged by "authority loaders" at the Chennai International Airport. The strike has ended at this time and no disruption in service to any of our clients occurred. In addition to the strike, all India air & sea customs systems were shut down from January 11 through January 13. No Customs entries could be processed during this time. Expo also confirmed that they successfully managed shipment processing during this down time and no delays occurred in the routing of our client cargo. All operations have returned to normal at this time. |

NY/NJ ILA Posts Martin Luther King Closure Schedule
Monday, January 21, 2013 is the U.S. observance of Martin Luther King Jr. birthday. New York and New Jersey terminals will be closed with the exception of Maher Terminals which will operate from 7AM through 4PM.
The SeaLink Office and Truck Replacement Center will also be closed.
