ILA Delegates Authorize Strike

Harold Dagget, President of the International Longshoremen's Association, won unanimous authorization from ILA delegates to call a strike if a settlement cannot be reached prior to the December 29 deadline.  Dagget proceeded to request strike authorization after accusing the USMX of attempting to reverse gains that the ILA had gained in previous contract negotiations.
