President Obama Expected To Enact PNTR With Russia

After both the House and Senate approved a bill to enact permanent normal trade relations with Russia, President Obama is expected to sign legislation to repeal Jackson-Vanik and normalize trade relations with the country.

The Administration believes US companies could triple their exports to Russia if normal trade relations are restored.

The legislation would also normalize trade relations with Moldova.
