The State of Rural Housing in Virginia: A HV Rural Housing Forum Around the State
Starting this week, Housing Virginia will be holding 5 regional rural housing meetings in partnership with local REALTORS Associations around the state.
We have been doing preliminary data mapping and research about the state of rural housing in Virginia and what needs and gaps need to be addressed to best serve the regional populations. At these forums, we will present this regional data alongside our initial survey findings on rural Virginia's affordable housing industry's greatest needs and gaps. We will also engage the local housing and service providers, planners, policymakers, and community members in a facilitated discussion about how to develop an effective action and policy recommendation guide.
