Am I the only one who wonders where the year has gone? It seems like only yesterday we were celebrating the 2013 holidays with Angels' families at our parade hospitality tents in Santa Barbara and Orcutt. As 2014 comes to a close, it's a natural inclination to reflect on the changes witnessed. At Angels, we recognize our family has grown by leaps and bounds in 2014! Here are some highlights:

While our staff didn't grow in numbers, we spent the year refining our intake, training, and continuing education processes to better serve our families.
We have welcomed 8 new families to Angels this year (with the January 2015 foster parent training class looking promising!).
We embraced 28 new little Angels, who joined 17 sweet ones already benefiting from an Angels home.
We said goodbye to 10 Angels, who either reunified with a parent or transitioned to a permanent home with a relative or non-Angels adoptive home.
And, we celebrated 11 adoptions by Angels' families, bringing the total number of adoptions by Angels' families to 78!

On behalf of the Angels team, I wish you and yours a safe and delightful holiday season, filled with wonder, love, and happiness.

Newly Certified Families - welcome to Nick & Cami of North Santa Barbara County.

New Placements: Congratulations to Nick & Cami for recently accepting an infant boy, and Victoria & James and Angi & Jay for accepting infant girls (all three families are located in North Santa Barbara County). Thanks also to Greta & Benji of South Santa Barbara County for accepting an infant boy.

Pre-Certification Training

Our next series of training dates will be scheduled in January of 2015. Note that pre-screening and certain paperwork are required before prospective foster parents may enroll in parent training classes.
