Greetings from your Angels Board President...
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. When child abuse or neglect occurs in our community, Angels is there to help babies and toddlers by placing them into loving Angels foster care homes. When we receive a call that a baby needs a home, Angels springs into action to match that little one with a family who can meet her/his needs. As that baby thrives in a loving Angels' home, they learn to trust that they will be protected and cared for. They wi tness and experience nurturing relationships and develop positive attachment to family members.
During National Child Abuse Prevention Month, we are very grateful to share the news that 148 babies have been helped by Angels families! Thank you Angels families for opening your homes and sharing your love!
On April 25 we will honor our Angels families at our annual Al Fresco Afternoon on the Riviera luncheon fundraiser, set in the beautiful gardens of the Four Seasons Biltmore Santa Barbara. Guests are invited to arrive early and shop in the Angels Marketplace which will be filled with wonderful items for purchase ranging from jewelry, home goods, fashion accessories, food items and florals. A percentage of all sales will be contributed to Angels. The luncheon will be served "Al Fresco" and include a delicious array of European-inspired food from Italy, France, Spain and Portugal. Beautiful table decor, music, floral arrangements and a fashion show will make this an event to remember. All proceeds from the event fund recruitment of new Angels families, screening, and training of new Angels parents, certification and placement of babies in these homes.

Please join us for a beautiful afternoon in the Biltmore gardens as we celebrate National Foster Care Month and honor Margot & Keith Clarke as volunteers of the year and the James S. Bower Foundation with the Foundation Award. Tickets start at $150 per person and are available for purchase on the Angels web site.
