Greetings!
We need your help.
Each week, we receive calls about children in need of homes. More times than we like, Angels is unable to provide a family for these children in crisis, children removed from their families, children who are now scared, overwhelmed, and alone. It is breaks our hearts knowing there are very young children, infants and toddlers, who would benefit tremendously from the Angels program, but who are unable to receive this care due to a shortage of Angels' homes. Specifically, there is a great need for homes willing to care for toddlers and/or siblings groups (no more than 2 children).
Since Angels' inception in 2006, 138 children have experienced loving and nurturing homes through Angels. Some children have stayed a few weeks while others found their forever family. They all benefited from the care their Angels family showered on them during a difficult time.
We need your help to do more, to do more for more children. If you have ever considered fostering and were just waiting for the right time, the time is now. If you know of a family who is considering fostering, please encourage them to call us now. If you know of a way we can reach more potential families, please share your ideas with us now. And if you are uncertain how you can help, come speak with us; we always welcome the interest and discussion.
We need your help. The time is now.
Thank you for your support and assistance,
Jennifer L. Mills, MSW, LCSW

Angels Stipends: Please note that monthly checks are processed on the 15th of each month and typically take 7-10 days to arrive in the mail. If you haven't received your child's check by the 25th of the month, or have any questions about payments, please contact your social worker.
"Clothing Allowances" for Angels Children: Around this time of year, Santa Barbara Child Welfare Services typically provides a small budget to be used for new clothing for Angels children. We are currently receiving these funds and will issue checks to Angels parents as soon as they are received by our office. Note that payments may be staggered due to when specific funds are received for each child.

Angels in the Community
We're looking for opportunities throughout Santa Barbara County to speak about Angels Foster Care and the urgent need for foster families. If you know of a local club, group, church or synagogue that would be interested in a presentation about Angels, please contact Ellen.

The Last Word...
"Loving a baby is a circular business, a kind of feedback loop. The more you give the more you get and the more you get, the more you feel like giving."
