We are in the process of scheduling games for the spring.  We have a coach and we have boys that want to play baseball.  We would like a couple of other volunteers to help with the team.  We will also need to purchase uniforms and equipment.  We will be looking for places that we can get the best prices and we could use some sponsors or donations towards this team.  It has been about ten years since we had a baseball team and we are very excited to get started.  Please email Amy Wickson if you would like to volunteer or you have useful information with regards to this.

Cub Scout and Boy Scout meeting on Tuesday at 6pm.

We will have a meeting with the girls in grades 3-5 tomorrow and send information home with them that will be due on Thursday, February 14th.  This is a program with the YMCA designed to promote physical fitness AND girl's self esteem.  It will begin mid-March and will continue through May.  The girls will meet twice a week for 75 minute sessions.  Our Guidance Counselor Pat Jackson will be one of the coaches and she needs a couple of other volunteers.  If you are interested in helping out you can email Pat Jackson at pj53athome@aol.com.

REMINDER!!! Girl Scout Sister to Sister Valentine's Day party will be held Monday February 11th from 3:00-4:30. We will be meeting in the K4 classroom.

Our band will play and our cheerleaders will perform the routine that they prepared for Homecoming!

Event lists are due Monday, February 11th.

We will hold a New Student Open House on Monday, February 25th from 5pm - 8pm.  Current families will receive $25 off of Early Registration of $125 (beginning March 1st) for each new family that attends our Open House and registers their student(s).  Postcards will be available in the office on Monday for our families to hand out as advertisement and promotion.

We will have a workshop for students preparing for competition or adults that would like some tips with photography.  There is a sign - up sheet in the office or you can email amy.wickson@ahchristian.com.  The workshop will be held on February 13th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm.  Kelly Dunn, Fine Art Photographer will be sharing many different topics.  The cost is $20.  Click on the following link for more information.  We need to have 10 participants to have the class so we need to know by Monday if you or your student are able to participate.

Photography Workshop 

AHCS Student Council will sell and deliver conversation heart candy and/or roses to your student, and your student will have the opportunity to purchase these items for their friends or family.  We are taking orders for the conversation hearts and the white, pink or red roses.  Conversation hearts are $1 per box.  Roses are $2 each.  You can place orders in the office or you can email amy.wickson@ahchristian.com and tell us what you would like to order and what you want the message to say.  They will be delivered on Thursday.
