Meet in the Middle
What if you and a friend calculated the middle point between where you live, scheduled to meet there on a certain date, and didn't talk to each other until that time? What would your journey be like?

That's the question The Art Assignment aims to find out with their new series Meet in the Middle.

The rules of the journey are:
  1. Pick a friend and calculate your halfway point
  2. Decide on a date and time to meet, and don't talk until that time
  3. Document your journey
  4. Share your work online using #THEARTASSIGNMENT
Your work may be featured in a future Meet in the Middle Episode!

Douglas Paulson and Christopher Robbins's middle point was in the Czech Republic.
Where will your journey to Meet in the Middle lead you?
Where are they now?

A look at what past festival partners have been up to.

In our 2013 RISK Festival, The Kinsey Institute partnered on the prize finalist event; Touchy Subjects: Art, Sex, and Humor. Today, the Institute continues its 'journey' to expand knowledge of sexual health in Indiana through a series of art exhibits. Its current exhibit, Beauty and the Beast: The Erotic Art of Ian Hornak, explores the groundbreaking work of Ian Hornak in the 1960's.

If you are one of our past partners, email us with any updates on your progress since RISK!
