The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail

This play celebrates Thoreau's famous act of civil disobedience and its consequences, followed by a post-performance discussion that unpacks the journey of living with authenticity.   

Hear some of Indiana's leading women tell their stories, explore the sources of their courage, and share their perspective on the obstacles that remain for women today.

A chef, a multi-field entrepreneur, an artistic director, an author, and a visual artist will discuss the personal, financial, and creative risks they took in pursuing nontraditional careers.

This interactive event explores how the brain deciphers positive risk from negative, and offers information on physical activity, finances, health, and more for older adults.

The Risks of Biological Research

Learn the history of scientific risk-taking here and abroad--including the implications of risks not taken--and learn about Indiana's contributions to treating infectious diseases.
