June has always been such a special month for me. This particular month, however, has shown to be significantly inspiring! In the past, I have always enjoyed June because it is my birthday month. Although, it means another year older, I truly feel that at my age, I am ready to seize the moment!
I am one lady that has always enjoyed getting older, watching my children and my business grow, all the while experiencing life's greatest opportunities. In certain ways, I feel that I closely relate to the butterfly in the above quote written by the late Maya Angelou. Like Angelou, after many years of changes, hardships, and new paths, I created a mold that has developed me into the person I am today. A person that holds love and beauty in their heart and wishes to share it with the world.
This month my inspiration is dedicated to the undertaking of an elder position at my church and embarking on a new faithful journey. First, I wanted to share how grateful I am for the encouragement and support of the First Presbyterian Church. I feel that after many years of consistent prayers, practice, and wisdom that I have gained from my experiences, that I am in a place to truly make an impact as an elder. I look forward to continuing to serve and care for others as The Lord continues to give me the strength to do his work on the Earth. This new role reminds me of a scripture that has resonated with me in the last few months. It is derived from the book of Ecclesiastes. It says, "Naked a man comes out of his mothers womb and naked he leaves this earth!" It is in fact true, that as people we take nothing with us. It's the legacy that we leave behind for generations to come! One of my hopes is that my two children will grow from this experience as well and be inspired to serve others throughout their spiritual journey too.
June has always marked a very busy month at Allure Spa. Typically, we perform a lot manicures, pedicures and also waxing services to prepare for the sun-filled summer season. My staff and I are also feeling inspired and motivated as we share our new Cynosure laser hair removal system that has shown great results to our clients!
After many years in business, my staff and I would agree that we love connecting to our clients and building relationships with them. June is particularly special because we get to be a part of their special days that often include wedding parties, graduations, First Holy Communions and proms. Each event that we are able to participate in makes our job more inspiring, exciting, and enjoyable. A special thank you to all of our clients that include Allure Spa in their special day!   
June 1st, marks four very busy months for Julianne since she has arrived in Hawaii. In that short time, she has found an apartment in Honolulu with her boyfriend, embarked on a new career as a manager at Hilton Hawaiian Village's Mandara Spa, and has given a cute little puppy, Theodore, a very loving home! Julianne, my staff, and I are always keeping close contact with each other. Last month, Molly and Keleigh visited Julianne in Hawaii! They had a wonderful time and look forward to Julianne's return trip back to the mainland (hopefully soon)! Aloha!
This June, I encourage you to go out and to feel inspired! It is so wonderful to be able to share your gifts and try something different and exciting!
