Wayback Burgers Ramps Up Non-Traditional Expansion
Cheshire, Conn. - Wayback Burgers is targeting non-traditional venues, in addition to its continued success across the nation and internationally, as a lucrative opportunity for expansion. Wayback Burgers has joined forces with the Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) Port Hueneme, Navy Exchange (NEX) in Ventura, Calif., to open a new restaurant in the NEX Port Hueneme food court in addition to serving its classic burgers and chicken sandwiches in the Wells Fargo Center, the premier sports and entertainment arena in the greater Philadelphia area.
The fast-casual franchise has come a long way since spearheading national franchising efforts in 2009, seeing extreme value in non-traditional expansion. As Wayback Burgers continues to converse with national retailers, universities and other armed services organizations, the company has the goal of expanding into 20 non-traditional locations by the end of 2015.
"As a young brand in the industry, we are always looking to separate ourselves from other burger concepts, and expanding non-traditionally enables us to grow brand loyalty and reach customers in locations with a captured audience," says John Eucalitto, president of Wayback Burgers. "Our model and products fit well within the non-traditional environment and we are now poised to further grow in this segment through strategic partnerships. Not only in arenas and naval bases, but colleges, universities, rest areas, airports, truck stops and other unique locations."
