Chicago and Milwaukee - Corner Bakery Cafe will begin construction within the next few weeks and is projecting to open later this year. Operator Neo Fourno Inc. plans to open 10 new cafes in Madison and Milwaukee over the next 5 years.

Famous Dave's Chairman Resigns

 

 

 

Minneapolis - Executive turnover at Famous Dave's continues. Late last week, Famous Dave's of America, Inc.

Riesen

announced the resignation of Chairman Dean Riesen from the company's board of directors. Riesen had served on the company's board since 2003, and as chairman since 2011.

 

"I would like to thank Dean for his contributions to Famous Dave's," says Ed Rensi, Famous Dave's CEO. Rensi himself is a relative newcomer to the company, having been named interim CEO and then permanent CEO this year after his stint as CEO of McDonald's USA.

 

"Famous Dave's future has never been brighter," Rensi continues. "This is a national brand with unique growth potential. We have a strong management team and board of directors and we are prepared to move forward and realize our full potential."

 

No successor to Riesen was immediately named. Riesen's exit is the latest of several management changes at Famous Dave's. To read more on the recent executive shake up, click here.

 

Famous Dave's of America, Inc. develops, owns, operates and franchises barbeque restaurants. Currently, the company owns 53 locations and franchises 141 additional units in 34 U.S. states, Puerto Rico and Canada.
