Be Aware of This Law

The Emergency Exit Announcement law (California Health and Safety Code Section 13113.6.) states that "any person, public or private firm, organization, or corporation, that owns, rents, leases, or manages a facility that hosts a ticketed event for live entertainment shall make an announcement of the availability of emergency exits prior to the beginning of the live entertainment."

Failure to comply with this law will result in a misdemeanor. Compliance can be easy and painless by just adding to your existing "welcome and please turn off all cell phones" remarks, "please look around your seating area for the nearest available exit."
