ACSO Executive Director Kris Sinclair to Retire in September 2016

Dear Friends,

After an extraordinary 31-year tenure, Kris has made the decision to retire from

her position as executive director of ACSO in September 2016. This is a bittersweet announcement for us in many ways. Considering how much of her time, energy, heart, and soul has been spent devoted to ACSO over the decades, we knew there would be a time when Kris' priorities would shift and spending time with family and friends now moves to her forefront.

As executive director, Kris has built an organization that has grown from a small group of like-minded individuals supporting classical music to the largest and longest running organization of its kind in the country. Her contributions to building a vibrant network for the classical music field at large is unparalleled and has put ACSO on a strong path toward even greater impact for its members. As such, her successor will enjoy the benefit of a solid foundation as we collectively move ACSO toward its next exciting chapter in serving the field we all love.

The search for a new executive director will be launched in January 2016 with the goal of having a new Executive Director in place by the 2016 Conference in Oakland. The ACSO Board of Directors is putting plans in motion to honor Kris in meaningful and fun ways throughout the year. More details will be sent once those plans become solidified. We invite you to be a part of any and all activities designed to thank Kris for an amazing and productive 31-year run. What an incredible legacy she leaves for us all. Congratulations, Kris!
