If you participated in the Course Requests Lottery, you have received notice of the classes in which you're enrolled and/or waitlisted. Over 80 courses were still open for registration after the lottery. For a copy of the course registration report, click here. The list of open classes changes continually as members add and drop courses. As a courtesy to others, please promptly drop any courses that you decide not to attend. Just email the office at olli@sou.eduwith "DROP" in the subject line and provide the name of the course(s) or call 541-552-6048. To add classes, sign into your account and follow the prompts.
Note: Winter term starts Tuesday, January 3 and runs through Friday, March 10. Classes start and stop at various times during the term, providing ample opportunity to accommodate vacation time and company visits.
OLLI in the News (with Pictures!)
OLLI was the good news story last week in both local newspapers, serving as the cover story in the Daily Tidings and as the lead story in the Locals section of the Mail Tribune--same story, but different pictures. and lots of great interviews with OLLI members and instructors.
Irv Lubliner's comments about the joy of teaching at OLLI in the above articles should inspire some excellent course offerings this spring. Click here to link to the online course proposal form. Answers to Frequently Asked Questions about teaching at OLLI can be found here. Don't wait until the ball drops at midnight on Times Square to submit. The earlier a proposal is received, the greater the likelihood of getting preferred class time and classroom.
NOTE: The OLLI office will be closed from Wednesday, December 21, through Tuesday, December 27, and on January 2, as part of SOU campus closures for the holidays.
