OLLI Public Lectures this September
|
Have you wanted to take a course from Susan Stitham or John Kloetzel, but couldn't schedule it? Our September community lectures will feature these two popular OLLI instructors:
- Wednesday, September 21, 1:00 to 3:00 pm, Camelot Theatre, Talent. To put this year's election into perspective, attend Susan Stitham's lecture on the most controversial election in America so far. Learn about the surprising role that Oregon played in setting the stage for the end of Reconstruction and legalization of racial segregation. For details and to register for "Oregon and the Presidential Election of 1876," click here.
- Friday, September 30, 1:00 to 3:00 pm, RCC/SOU Higher Education Center, Medford. John Kloetzel's presentation, "'It's a Small World: the Life Within Us" describes the unseen organisms that are an integral part of who we are--from those that populate our guts to relicts of ancient life forms that invaded our cells. Learn about the emerging science on how they impact our health. Click here for full details or to register.
Note: we request registration to ensure there are sufficient seats (and cookies). Feel free to bring non-member guests.
