Announcing Two New OLLI Traditions
Membership Pin Honoring Your Support of the OLLI Mission
At this year's Annual Meeting on June 10, OLLI will inaugurate a new tradition: awarding pins for 5, 10, 15 and 20 years of supporting our mission of fostering intellectual stimulation and continuous learning in the Rogue Valley. These pins will be an attractive addition to your name badge or lapel.

In order to establish our database, please tell us how long you've been a member of OLLI at SOU, including your years in our predecessor organization, SOLIR. Even if you haven't yet met the five year mark, your reply will get us ready to award your pin when the time comes. Please respond by April 30 so we will have enough pins on hand at the meeting. It's easiest for us if you provide the information by clicking on the link below:

Dates for Your Calendars
Friday, April 22, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm: OLLI Medford Lecture. Lori Stanton, Southern Oregon Regional Coordinator for the Alzheimer's Association, will address fears and myths surrounding Alzheimer's and dementia and the importance of early detection. Monday, May 9, 4:30 pm: OLLI Council Candidate Forum. Meet the candidates for the director spots on the OLLI Council being vacated by our three retiring directors. The forum will be followed by an informal reception. Note: OLLI members will be affirming the directors selected by the current Council by vote between May 17 and June 1. 

Friday, June 10, 3:15 to 5:00, OLLI Annual Meeting. This year's event will be held in the Rogue River Room of the SOU Stevenson Union and feature an exhibition of OLLI artists, ice cream sundaes, and a recap of this past year.
Fall 2016 Course Proposals Due May 1-May 31
We encourage you to think about joining the OLLI faculty. See the Teaching at OLLI section of the website and, if you have further questions, contact Curriculum Committee. We are especially looking for more art and computer courses based on member feedback.  Proposals can be submitted between May 1 - 31. Note that the earlier a proposal is received, the greater the chance of getting the preferred date, time, and room.
