New OLLI Name Badges Coming in the Mail
OLLI Member Badge
An Easy Way to Be Memorable!
Let's face it--remembering names is a challenge. A badge with your name prominently displayed and that is hard to misplace is on its way to you. Help your instructors and fellow members by regularly wearing your badge to OLLI classes and events. We aren't making any claims that doing so will make you wealthy, but who knows--some guy named Scott Ginsberg, who features himself as "The Authority on Approachability" and "The World's Expert on Nametags," has parlayed wearing a name badge 24/7 (even to bed!) into a six figure income!  If you don't believe us, Google him.
Just in Time for a Holiday Gift to OLLI
Tax-free IRA Rollover for 2015 Is an Easy Way to Support OLLI
Congress has just passed a year-end tax package that allows those who of us who are 70 years or older to make a tax free rollover gift of their mandatory IRA distribution to a qualified charity. To make such a gift to OLLI, contact your IRA custodian and request that the gift amount be transferred to Southern Oregon University Foundation (Tax I.D. 7030910).  You can designate the whole of your rollover gift, or any part of it, to the OLLI Annual Fund, or you can name the OLLI Legacy Fund as the recipient, where the gifted amount will be added to the existing endowment and benefit OLLI with its earnings in perpetuity. For questions, call the Southern Oregon University Foundation at 541-552-6127 and tell them you want to make a gift to OLLI. Also, please call the OLLI office at 541-552-6048 and tell them you have included OLLI in your 2015 IRA distribution.
We'll See You Next Year! Happy Holidays!
