2015 Council Election Results

Congratulations to Our Three New Directors!

Allan Anderson, Barbara North, and David Runkel have been confirmed as our three new Council Directors. Come to the Annual Meeting (see below) to meet them and to thank our retiring directors: Elaine Hamlin, Tysen Mueller, and Alan Pendleton.

The volunteer task force making recommendations regarding OLLI's future would like to be guided by input from a broad cross section of members. We've heard from 16% of OLLI members -- thanks to all who've responded! If you haven't yet done so, add your voice to the chorus. It will take just two minutes to check off your responses to this short survey:


If you experience problems with the electronic form, click here for a paper version to print and return to the office. These require hand tabulation, however. Surveys submitted by June 8 can be included in the results reported at the Annual Meeting.

  4. Greet OLLI's new Volunteer Coordinator; thank our hardworking staff and volunteers who have provided the content for the 2014-2015 program
  5. Learn about OLLI finances, this year's accomplishments, results of the member survey, new directions
  6. Ask questions; provide comments

Summer Happenings
An Encore of Last Year's Highly Successful Open House Awaits You
Preview Fall 2015 classes and enjoy a keynote speaker and tasty refreshments. Come to the 2015 OLLI Open House on Friday, July 10, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the SOU Stevenson Union. Visit exhibits from OLLI instructors and 20 community partner organizations to qualify for door prize drawings. The first 500 through the door will each receive a free gift. The event is entirely underwritten by Rogue Valley Manor, The Springs at Veranda Park, Ashland Asante Community Hospital and SOU.  More details coming soon.

Summer Lecture: "The Conductor's Art: The Magic of the Orchestra" 
The third installment in this popular lecture series presented by Martin Majkut, Musical Director of the Rogue Valley Symphony, will be held Wednesday, July 1, from 1:00 to 3:00 at the Higher Education Center.
