Is There Anything We Can Do About Climate Change?

Well, we banned CFCs to save the ozone layer that protects us from ultraviolet radiation. What about geoengineering to address climate change? Come hear exploration geologist Kevin Downing, Ph.D. discuss emerging techniques. This lecture is being held on Friday, May 29, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Medford Higher Education Center. Save the Date: Second Annual OLLI Open House on July 10 at SOU

This summer event will take place at the SOU Stevenson Union on Friday, July 10, from 10:00 to 2:00. We are topping last year's extravaganza with a keynote speaker and more exhibits from community non-profits and SOU. Get a first peek at the Fall course line-up, win door prizes, talk to OLLI instructors, and enjoy tasty refreshments while mingling with friends. It is a great way to introduce others to OLLI.

Fun Cinco de Mayo Fundraiser at ScienceWorks

Thanks to the donated refreshments and venue, we were able to net almost $1,400 -- and have fun in the process. Twin Creeks, Horton Plaza, and Fountain Plaza outdid themselves in providing a bountiful and yummy Cinco de Mayo-themed buffet. Their residents get to eat like this all the time! Check them out if you want to explore retirement living. They welcome visitors.
