OLLI Open Houses. Save the date for either Friday, July 11, at the Schneider Art Museum or Saturday, July 12, at the Higher Education Center. Both events will take place from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and will include a sneak preview of the fall course line-up and celebrate lifelong learning with exhibits refreshments, and door prizes. Look for an electronic invitation and details in a few days.

Summer Lecture: Martin Majkut, Music Director of the Rogue Valley Symphony is providing a special lecture on July 8 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Higher Education Center. Click here to reserve a seat. Seating is limited.

Annual Enrollment and Fall Registration. Important dates:

July 14: 2014-2015 member sign up starts
July 30 to August 12: Submit course requests for fall term prior to the computerized lottery that allocates oversubscribed courses
August 19: Late registration for Fall 2014 begins

Staffing/Leadership Updates

2014-2015 OLLI Leadership. The newly configured Council has elected officers and appointed the Council members that will provide oversight of all OLLI committees. For a list of council members and committee chairs, click here.

Get Involved. You are invited to attend any OLLI Council meeting. The dates of the meetings, generally the third Monday of the month, are listed on the OLLI Calendar. Check the OLLI Leadership link for meeting agendas and minutes. Annette Lewis has volunteered to work with Rob Casserly, our Program Manager, to help match members who would like to volunteer with roles that suit interests, skills and time availability.

OLLI Staffing. In the hope that increased member volunteerism can address the growing demands on our staff, we will continue with Rob Casserly as our sole full-time employee. He will be assisted by two part-time staff members. Carol O'Connor replaces Pam Christy as OLLI Assistant and Linda LaGasse assumes Carol's former position as Membership/Data Administrator. Christina Patton-Cattolico, our part-time student assistant, will continue in her job. Please keep in mind that our small staff is tasked with filling the needs of over 1,400 members and 145 instructors.
