OLLI Council Updates
We are pleased to announce the results of the Council election and welcome new members Judi Drais, Sandy Theis, and Lorraine Vail.
Pat Alexander, our vice president and president-elect, has resigned due to serious medical problems in his family. The Council, at a special meeting held May 9, elected Alan Pendleton as vice president and president-elect. It will act at a later date to fill the vacancy in the class of 2015 created by Pat's resignation.
The old Council meets Monday, May 19, at 3:15 pm in Campbell Center to consider a budget for the new fiscal year. The new Council will hold its organizational meeting immediately after close of the old Council meeting.
Special thanks to retiring Council members Linda Anderson, Annette Lewis, and Tam Moore for their outstanding service. It's particularly gratifying that each of these individuals has volunteered to serve OLLI in other capacities. |

Announcements and Events
Exciting News. We will hold the first ever OLLI Open Houses on Friday, July 11, at the Schneider Art Museum and on Saturday, July 12, at the Higher Education Center. Come to one or both events from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm to learn about the fall course line-up and to celebrate lifelong learning with food, exhibits, and door prizes. Details to follow.
Want to Teach Next Fall? Course proposals are due June 4. We now have a web form for submitting proposals that remedies problems with the fillable PDF form, prevents errors in transferring handwritten information from paper forms, and saves significant staff time. For more details visit the Teaching at OLLI section of the website.
Annual Picnic. You'll shortly receive an electronic invitation to this fun annual event that is planned for Wednesday, June 11 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The invitation will provide the convenient option of purchasing the $15 per person tickets online.
