Upgrading and expanding OLLI facilities to keep up with member enrollment is part of the OLLI long range planning effort. A number of factors affecting Southern Oregon University have caused the Council to postpone a meeting planned for early February that would have shared with members the design and cost estimates for proposed new classroom space on the Ashland campus. Instead, the Council is meeting March 17 to review this issue, and you are invited to attend or submit written comments. For details, click here.

Following a public hearing about discounting the membership fee for Spring 2014, the Council voted to charge a fee of $75 for those joining for this one term and to reassess offering a similar spring discount in subsequent years. In the past, those joining in the spring were charged a reduced fee but were obligated to purchase the following year's membership at the same time. 

If you know community members who might want to join OLLI next quarter, please advise them of this opportunity. Paper membership forms for spring can be submitted any time; joining online is scheduled to begin February 26.
