It's Back to School Time at OLLI!
Fall 2012 Course Descriptions Posted

Check out the 100 great course offerings that kick off the 2012-2013 academic year! You'll note that the course descriptions are numbered and categorized in a new way. We hope you agree that this is an improvement.

As previously announced, online enrollment and course selection have been temporarily delayed, so we will utilize our traditional manual system. . Click here for a membership enrollment form and click here for a course request form. The forms can be filled out via your computer or printed and filled out by hand. Be sure these two forms are received in the OLLI office by August 17 to optimize the chances of getting the course(s) you prefer.

For those of you unable to attend Harry Fuller's July 11 talk on "American Media in the Digital Age," click here to view the program in its entirety. This fast-paced presentation provides fascinating insights into the forces affecting our traditional sources of news and information. (Note: there are a few minutes of technical difficulties in the beginning.)

We'd previously provided a link to video coverage of Marcia and Nat Sterling's mock Supreme Court arguments for and against the Affordable Care Act in a Community Forum on May 14. Now there's an added bonus - the Sterling's analysis of the final decision. Their well-balanced commentary not only simplifies this complex issue but also outlines the implications.
