Join the Friends of Hannon Library for this insightful discussion on a topic relevant to today. While offering the usual definitions of civility from reputable sources, Gerry Cavanaugh and Marc Ratner will develop two aspects essential to any discussion of true civility, compassion, and a sense of proportion. Free parking will be available in Lots 21 & 22 behind the Hannon Library.

The Faure Quartett will perform music by Suk, Mendelssohn, and Dvorak on Friday, and Faure, Kirchner, and Brahms on Saturday.

Camelot Theatre Subscription Tickets

Camelot Theatre Company is offering OLLI members a 10% reduction on the price for their 6-show Director's Night showings. The Director's Night includes an after-show discussion with the Director and cast. OLLI's six-show subscription will be $119 for seniors and $130 general price. Please note that these discounted prices are on top of the already discounted subscription price. Reserved seating is included. There is an additional standard $6 box office fee on top of the above quoted prices for setting up the subscription and seating selections. The six performances include the following:

Save $10 - Join Friends of the Hannon Library

Do you value the resources at the SOU Hannon Library? The Friends of Hannon Library individual membership can now be obtained for $35 instead of the "standard" price of $45 for the first 100 OLLI members who sign up. This subsidy is being provided by OLLI and The Hannon Library. Your year-long membership can be obtained at the Hannon Library. Just identify yourself as an OLLI member, and the library will mail you a membership card.

Every year, the Friends of Hannon Library presents a series of outstanding speakers on topics of literary and intellectual interest. Speakers have included Senator Mark Hatfield, Angus Bowmer, author Erskine Caldwell, and former director of the National Endowment for the Arts, John Frohnmayer.

Membership also authorizes the user to check out SOU materials and is good for the annual term of membership. A photo ID will be required to check out materials from the library until you receive your permanent membership card. Remember that memberships are non-transferable. Your membership is good for one year from the date-of-purchase.
