Time Machine Weekend
Engineering Through the Ages

OLLI instructor Larry Kellogg will present at ScienceWorks this weekend as part of the Time Machine Weekend--Engineering Through the Ages. He will be talking about the Cam Hammer his OLLI class built, as well as a short presentation on Leonardo Da Vinci. His presentation will include time for Q&A and a demo period with the cam hammer. He will speak at 2pm each day (February 18, 19 and 20), in the SciTheater.


The hours for the ScienceWorks museum this weekend are:


Saturday Feb. 18 10 am-4 pm
Sunday  Feb. 19 12 pm-4 pm
Monday Feb. 20 10 am-4 pm


Regular admission prices apply.

OLLI Spring Schedule in the Mail

 

OLLI's Spring Term mailing of course information to all members will be postmarked by Monday, February 20. Keep in mind that March 2nd is the class request deadline.
 
This bulk mailing will include:
  • the LINK newsletter
  • an Excel sheet listing all classes
  • the class calendar
  • a class request form

Any member who does not have an email address will also be separately mailed the full listing of course descriptions. If you would like a copy of the full course descriptions mailed to you, please let the office know, at (541) 552-6048. Thanks to everyone who attended the OLLI fundraiser last Friday at ScienceWorks. We sold 58 tickets! The "Got Nano?" show was a big hit, too. We would like to publicly thank all the members of the Fund Development Committee for their efforts--the money raised will go toward scholarships and other budgetary needs at OLLI at SOU.
