The holidays are an awesome time to digest and reflect on past events. To find out what you are grateful for in your life. And do the people around you know just how important they are to you? But also, what you have been clinging onto, that you need to let go of.

Perhaps this is the perfect time to find out what no longer serves you. Are you holding on to anger towards someone or yourself? Are you not allowing yourself to grieve over losses or missed opportunities? It may be time to look at it with an open heart, and perhaps the attachment to the feeling, the clinging to the mind pattern will loosen. And maybe not. Also let go of the preferred outcome ;-)

At Yoga Moves we also needed to open our hearts  and let go of our attachments. A few teachers are spreading their wings.
We are grateful that everyone will stay connected to Yoga Moves in one way or another.

And what usually happens when we let go of one thing, space appears for something new. So expect a few new faces and more of the ones you already know and love. Read on for the changes in the class schedule for the new year.

We wish you a wonderful Christmas Holiday and a happy New Year. May all your wishes and dreams come true.

Namaste

Yoga Moves Team
Let Go and Open Up

We want to take this platform to thank all Yoga Moves teachers for their own unique offerings to the Yoga Moves Community! A special thanks goes out to:

Sandra Carson will focus more on workshops and teacher training at Yoga Moves and is letting go of the Monday classes. We will miss her spark in class but look forward to diving deeper with her in Going Deeper or the Psoas and Pelvic Alignment workshop in January. Thank you for your deep knowledge, fun personality and empowerment!

Jurre Twijnstra has found an awesome spot in Den Haag to build a mysore program. We are very happy that he got this unique and well-deserved opportunity.  We are blessed that he feels very much connected to the Yoga Moves Community and will travel back- and-forth to continue teaching some classes. Thank you for the deep connection to your students and dedication to the Ashtanga practice!

Hilary Brown is taking some time off in 2016 to repair her body (just had a hip replacement) and soul in a sabbatical. It was her drive, passion and creativity that brought Yoga Moves where it is today. A big thank you, Hilary.

Welcome to the Yoga Moves Community: Daphne Koken, Debby van Beek, Eveline Spree, Ellen Vroomen, Irma Swanink and Jasper van der Heijden! We invite all students to open up to a new experience, and try their classes in 2016.

Daphne Koken is a passionate vinyasa yoga teacher and animal lover who loves to travel, study and share her yoga teachings through dynamic classes. Daphne will offer Vinyasa Prana Flow classes at Yoga Moves on Mondays 18.00 and 20.15  starting January. Her dedication is to keep it fresh and keep it real.

Debby van Beek is a familiar friendly face in the ashtanga (mysore) room at Yoga Moves. Debby finished the ashtanga teacher training at our studio this year, and is already teaching a lot. As a teacher she is dedicated to helping yogi's finding a balance between working hard and softening at the same time. She will be teaching the level 1-2 classes on Tuesdays at 18.00.

Eveline Spree has been coming to Yoga Moves for classes regularly since 2008.  In 2012 she graduated from the Yoga Moves Vinyasa Teacher Training Summer Intensive. She loves the yoga journey, to explore both body and mind, and to cultivate gratitude, trust and courage. Her classes are gentle but dynamic. She will take over Hilary's Slow Flow classes on Tuesday at 17. 30 while Hilary is away.

Ellen Vroomen, a long time buddhist, feels that yoga connects her passion for movement with her desire for inner freedom. Her wish is to share yoga with everyone that needs more empowerment, on the body, mind or spiritual level. Ellen was trained as a hatha yoga teacher in 2011 and more recently as an ashtanga teacher. She will be sharing the Saturday Ashtanga classes with Jurre.

Irma Swanink has been part of the Yoga Moves community since 2009. She recently finished her Vinyasa Teacher Training at Yoga Moves and looks forwards to sharing all she has learned. Irma will be teaching the Friday Wake Up class at 7.30 while Hilary is away.
