About Lizzie Lasater
Lizzie believes that we are all already Buddhas, we just don't know it yet.  She learned yoga from her mother, restorative yoga pioneer and Yoga Journal Magazine co-founder, Judith Hanson Lasater. Raised in San Francisco, Lizzie lives in the Alps with her Austrian husband.
Remember the Incense poll in our last newsletter?  Well most (70%) of the respondents like or even love incense at the studio.

I am on a mission! My mission is to introduce and help promote the profound and deep practice of restorative yoga.

Thus I am excited that we have invited expert trainer Lizzy Lasater.  Lizzy is a beautiful, bright and energetic version of her mother, Judith Hanson Lasater. Judith pioneered the training program on Restorative Yoga and is known all over the world. They work together to bring this work to us!

You see, I know the benefits of this work and want it to be felt, understood and practiced in our community more. Don't get me wrong - I love the dynamic, strong, breath based practices we teach. I respect Yin Yoga - when taught with integrity and awareness. But for many of us, we have had times of depletion or worse, chronic or acute illness or burn out...then what? How do we "do yoga" when the yoga we do is too strong, too forceful or just not serving us every day?

The good news is: Restorative yoga is one of the most simple yet profound approaches to healing Dis- Ease....It cannot hurt you. It works on the deepest level of your nervous system. Everyone can do it.  And it can help refresh those of us with the life problem called stress, and over busy lives....With ease. Yes ease. Something we all really need more of.

I invite you to come join these workshops. Bring a friend - someone you think could use a relax break! Share the workshop with them!

P.S. I have seen and heard many people try to teach this - some better than others . Lizzy is one of my favourites!

Workshops with Lizzie Lasater at Yoga Moves
Work Hard, Rest Deeply with the Buddha

We often confuse exhaustion and relaxation. In this workshop we combine a flowing Asana practice with Restorative yoga: using movement to find stillness. Diving deeply into this beautiful work, we will immerse ourselves in the healing power of silence. And we will take comfort in the truth that we are all already Buddhas, we just don't know it yet.
