Yoga Moves takes good care of pregnant students. We have been working together with Birthlight UK to train (our) teachers and make sure pregnant, postnatal women and their babies are taught useful, safe and fun practices for this special period.

Birthlight has been a pioneer in yoga for pregnancy, birth and babies since the 1990s. They offer original adaptations of classic yoga practices for women from pre-conception through to nine months after childbirth. Both our perinatal teachers have been trained by Birthlight. Want to expand your teaching horizon? Yoga Moves offers several teacher trainings this September.

Postnatal Rice Pudding Recipe

This pudding is easy to digest and nutritious, so very suitable for new mums. Rice, almond and full fat milk are nutritious for the deep reproductive tissues and very suitable in summer as these ingredients have cooling qualities. Cardemon balances out the emotions and helps to support the uterus together with the saffron. This pudding is great for dessert but also as an in between snack. 

Are you pregnant and want to try this pudding, just leave out the saffron.

Our prenatal yoga (zwanger-schapsyoga) classes (from 14-30 weeks) help you to stay physically active in a safe way during your pregnancy. Our birth prep (voorbereiding op de bevalling) classes (from 30 weeks- delivery) prepare you for giving birth through breathing exercises and by giving additional information about delivery.

Prenatal Partner Yoga Workshops
Sunday Evenings with Liese

Give your partner an idea of what you have been learning in the prenatal course and teach him/her how to support you in the best possible way during childbirth.
 
Work on postures, movements, birth positions, breath work and relaxation. You can bring your life partner, or a friend, mother or someone else you would like to have with you during birth.
