About Guy Donahaye


Guy Donahaye began practicing yoga with Sri K Pattabhi Jois (Guruji) in 1991 and returned many times to India to study with him. He is one of a small group of students to receive advanced teaching certification from Guruji. 

 

Guy has been conducting classes in traditional Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga since 1993. He is author of the book "Guruji - A Portrait of Sri K Pattabhi Jois through the Eyes of His Students" - a collection of 30 in depth interviews with Guruji's senior students and close family.

 

Guy is interested in presenting Ashtanga Yoga in depth - as an ancient art and science rooted in tradition. He teaches asana practice, pranayama, kriya, yoga philosophy and theory in his studio in NYC and internationally.
