I admit it, I love being lazy.  One of my favorite spots is sitting in bed, up against my bedrest. The bedrest has been with me for many years, traveling with us from Michigan to Alaska and back.  Given to me by my mother, it has been used a lot.  While I sit in bed, I play and work on my computer   This way my feet are not hanging down from a chair and if I really want to zone out, all I have to do is snuggle back down and go to sleep.

So, here I am, in one of my favorite spots, working on the newsletter.  We have just been strongly introduced to another winter and I am listening to the snow melt on our roof as the temperature warms up to 37 degrees.  And if I crack my window just right, the wind whistles through the small opening.

Thanksgiving Day is approaching and I will make dinner and celebrate with my family.  Turkey and all is one of my favorite meals and I enjoy planning the menu.

To all of my fiber friends, I wish you a blessed holiday.

New and Updated

Mountain Colors

Bozeman - Super bulky thick and thin yarn spun with very soft wool. Perfect for large thick cowls and throws.

Monarch - This wonderfully soft thick/thin yam is a worsted weight and gives a lovely handspun look to your project.

We have samples knitted up for both of these.

Madelinetosh

More sock, Pashmina, DK, and Vintage, along with their  new yarn, A.S.A.P.  A.S.A.P. is a 100% superwash merino wool.  It  works up at a super bulky weight, and is perfect for last minute accessories and heavy sweaters. Each squishy soft skein is hand-dyed in small dye lots and is machine washable.

I knitted a cozy hat in it.

Classic Elite
Chateau - MountainTop Chalet's colorful cousin, Chateau is the same super-soft baby alpaca/bamboo blend with a chainette construction. It knits up quickly, which is perfect for last-minute holiday gifts.

Any pattern written for Chalet will knit-up just as beautifully in Chateau.  We knitted the GAP-Tastic Cowl in Chalet and it is a favorite for all of us.

Portraits is a gorgeous book that features some of  CEY's outstanding yarns. Inside are six accessories and five quick-to-knit and easy-to-wear sweaters (and variations).  Since we have Toboggan, Chalet, and Chateau in stock, I highly recommend this book.  And there is a bonus.  Inside the front cover is the ability to download this book as an ebook.  You get the best of both worlds!

.

Super Bulky Button Hat - Using a US 13 needle and a cute button, you can knit up a fun hat.  We suggest Bozeman, A.S.A.P., Burly Spun, or two strands each of Lamb's Pride Bulky, Misti Alpaca, or Super Traveller.

Trendy Baby Hat - Want a really quick knit for a baby?  Pull out your US 15 needles and use Bozeman or ASAP.

Garter Gaiter - US 15 needles and Toboggan would make a cute cowl.  Or take a skein of Misti Alpaca Chunky Handpaint and a solid for some fun.

Snowflake Scarf - Going with our theme of US 15 needles, this scarf would be soft and warm knit up in Misti Alpaca Chunky, Toboggan, or Super Traveller.

Sock Yarn Scarf - Gather up your leftover fingering weight yarn and US 5 needles and knit up this scarf.  Nice and cozy for the winter.
