I spenT the weekend with my mother.  She had some health issues and spent almost a week in the hospital.  I was fortunate in that I was able to take some time off from my life to give my poor sisters a break and hang out with Mom. Friday night, after I arrived, she and I  sat in her living room.  Mom played Solitaire and I knitted.  And as I sat there, I realized that the weekend was the first time she and I were together without anyone else around.  I am the eldest of five and so there was always someone else.  My father, siblings, and then my family.  It was wonderful to  spend some time with her.  Not doing anything special, just hanging out.
