Contagious Thoughts from Contagiousjoy4him.com!
Bee and Yellow FlowersEditor's Note

Our theme for the summer is "Fun with the Son". Summertime can be very busy (busy as bees) for ministry families. There are various church activities such as hosting mission teams, special outreach events, and of course VBS. Also there are family outings and vacations. You can add to this list I'm sure.

Many of us get so focused on these events and that we forget to "Take the Son along". There have been times in my own life that
I pictured in my mind as I was running out the door Jesus looking at me and calling out "Don't you want to hear what I have to say?"

Our hope is that as you open your email and read each of the mid-week Contagious Thoughts you will feel connected to others just like yourself.  We would like to encourage you to not let the busyness of life detract from your relationship with the One who loves you the most. We pray that your summer months will prove to be filled with fun, refreshing and rewarding times, and above all bring glory and honor to Him.

Don't forget the events coming up in the Southern Baptist Convention in Orlando and then also in July in Canada!  Click here to go to the ads for these events.  Diane Nix will be coming to you by video next week!  Until then......

Lets's go out and make a difference in this world while we show the love of Christ to others.

Dream Chaser...

Summer is a season that brings with it lazy afternoons, drinking homemade lemonade, and time off.  Every year on vacation, my husband and I spend time daydreaming about life.   We dream about our future-the places we want to see and the things we want to do.
Dreams are those things that get you so excited you just can't stop thinking about them. The moment you wake up your thoughts drift to your passion.   In the frozen foods isle, a great idea hits you and suddenly grocery shopping becomes a distraction.  Your thoughts are held captive by your dreams while waiting in the drive through lane for refill prescriptions.
Dreams can quickly overshadow the mundane details of life.
Dreams come in all shapes and sizes, but for the believer we have a secret weapon.  In an attempt to be in control of our dreams, we disregard the help of our secret weapon.  Other times, we simply forget we have this secret weapon and attempt the pursuit on our own.
You didn't know you had a secret weapon?  You do.
The power of Holy Spirit resides in us!  So powerful a weapon is this that when our dreams line up with God's desires  for our lives then God-sized things happen. Dreams come true!
The same power that caused the lame to walk and the blind to see resides in us!  The same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead resides in us!  The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. (Rom. 8:11 NLT)
With that kind of power, the question is what can't we accomplish?  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Phil. 4:13 NKJV)
Spend some time this summer chasing your dreams.  With the power of the Holy Spirit, you can accomplish anything!

So, what are the thoughts that keep you up at night or invade your mind while grocery shopping?

Let me know your dreams!
