TRINITY YOUTH MINISTRY
The Diocesan Youth Ministry exists to support our parishes in their mission to help our youth grow spiritually.  There are many opportunities at the diocesan level for our youth to have a transforming encounter with Jesus Christ so that they can grow in their relationship with Him and share Jesus' love in their everyday lives.
EYC TO VISIT CARNES FUNERAL HOME - MAY 22, 2016
Often a young person or even adults experience death for the first time when they are grieving deeply. This tour is to encourage open discussion on death, spirituality, the different types of religious services and what Jesus's body may have gone through when he died. This tour is scheduled on the evening of May 22 at Carnes Funeral Home, 1201-23rd Street and is for our youth, but adults are welcome to come along. Please visit our Facebook page: Trinity Episcopal Church EYC for the time.

PARKING LOT USE
Trinity is privileged to be permitted use of the fenced parking lot across the street for weekly services and, with approval, for our special events. However, by owner's terms, someone must be on site to monitor usage and cars must leave the lot soon after church services, lunches, weddings and funerals or risk being locked in behind the fence. We certainly encourage use of the parking lot, but caution those planning lunch or other offsite activities to please park elsewhere after church sponsored events. Thank you for helping us be good neighbors with the new lot owner.

LOVE THY NEIGHBOR OUTREACH -
DOK is making fleece blankets for the Canadian fire victims and are in need of supplies for the project. To make 1 blanket requires 1¼ yds. of patterned fleece for the top side; and 1¼ yds. of matching solid fleece for the back. Fleece fabric is available at WalMart, Hobby Lobby, JoAnne's and Handcock Fabrics and some fleece throws are available at Academy (takes 2). Please help us help our Canadian neighbors. It gets cold early in Canada so we are eager to initiate this project next week. If you would like to help make the blankets, give us a call. No sewing required! (Funding for purchasing fabric is accepted.)

EATON HALL RESTORATION AND
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN OFF TO A GREAT START!

Restoration of Eaton Hall is well underway! Please take a peek at the top of the stairs in Eaton Hall to see the progress being made. Just as important is the progress made on the Capital Campaign. Pledges received to date total more than $260,000! Thank you!
While this is a great start to the campaign, we have a long way to go! (Just like the construction left to do on Eaton Chapel).
The total goal of the Capital Campaign over the next three years is $500,000 to include sanctuary lighting enhancements and the growth of restricted funds.

It's easy to participate - here are some suggestions:
  • Fill out and return the Capital Campaign form sent to you in the mail. (More are available in the office if misplaced).
  • Send us a written note regarding the amount you wish to give over the next three years - yearly, quarterly, monthly, weekly or a one-time gift.
  • Drop your check off at the parish office or put it in the offering plate designating on the memo line the amount given for the Capital Campaign.
  • Pay by credit card - go to www.trinitygalv.org, click on "Donate Today" at the top of the page. Be sure to designate Capital Campaign or contact Camille Haglund in the church office to help you set up online credit payments.
If you have any questions, please contact Rev. Susan Kennard at 979.248.7849 or Camille Haglund in the Church office.
