PARKING LOT USE
Trinity is privileged to be permitted use of the fenced parking lot across the street for weekly services and, with approval, for our special events. However, by owner's terms, someone must be on site to monitor usage and cars must leave the lot soon after church services, lunches, weddings and funerals or risk being locked in behind the fence. We certainly encourage use of the parking lot, but caution those planning lunch or other offsite activities to please park elsewhere after church sponsored events. Thank you for helping us be good neighbors with the new lot owner.

TRINITY YOUTH MINISTRY
The Diocesan Youth Ministry exists to support our parishes in their mission to help our youth grow spiritually.  There are many opportunities at the diocesan level for our youth to have a transforming encounter with Jesus Christ so that they can grow in their relationship with Him and share Jesus' love in their everyday lives.
EYC TO VISIT CARNES FUNERAL HOME - MAY 22, 2016
Often a young person or even adults experience death for the first time when they are grieving deeply. This tour is to encourage open discussion on death, spirituality, the different types of religious services and what Jesus's body may have gone through when he died. This tour is scheduled on the evening of May 22 at Carnes Funeral Home, 1201-23rd Street and is for our youth, but adults are welcome to come along. Please visit our Facebook page: Trinity Episcopal Church EYC for the time.

July 17-22, 2016 - San Marcos/Wimberley

Who:
All youth and their friends in 7-12th grade. Adult parents and volunteers are encouraged to attend. All Adults must take Safeguarding God's Children before the trip.
What: God has called us to serve the hill country area devastated by floods in 2015. This life-changing mission trip is sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of Texas and will be led by adult volunteers of Trinity Church and Kathy Westmoreland, the youth minister at St. Mark's in Bay City. We have learned that lives are changed through volunteer service, both for the recipient and the volunteers.
Where: We will be staying at the San Marcos Baptist Academy located at 2801 Ranch Road 12 in San Marcos.
Cost: Though the participant cost is actually $300, we are only asking for a deposit of $100 thanks to fundraisers and money committed by our Trinity family. We need your deposit and registration today, May 1. Make all checks payable to Trinity Episcopal Church and note "Youth Mission Trip" and your child's name on the memo line.
Additional Money: Your child may want to bring a little additional money for snacks or a meal on the way there and on the way home.
We will discuss this further closer to the trip.
Travel:
We have reserved 12 passenger vans. It would help to cut the van rental if we had large vehicles we could borrow that week. Any ideas??

Providing prayers, fellowship and hot meals on Wednesdays nights to over 70 college and medical school students.

While we are called to minister to the students of this great medical community, we are frequently challenged and blessed by the ever changing landscape as students rotate in and out of our doors. This time of year is especially fun as we try to decipher how many students we will be feeding on Wednesday nights. All our physical therapy students take a vacation for two weeks and some start summer mission work or rotations. The 2016 PA class wraps up at the end of May and a whole new group will come in. Our 1st year medical students take a summer hiatus just as the 2nd year students are buckling down and studying for the STEP test. Sometimes we find it a little bittersweet because just as we've come to love and minister to students, it's time for them to move on. We are reminded and thankful for the words of our beloved Bible that tells us that "Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever."-Hebrews 13:8.
Prayer Needs: for all of our students as they study and transition. Pray for continued healing for Ollive Shepherd who provides our desserts.
Tangible Needs: Seeking two rolling black or gray office chairs. Thanksgiving: Thank you to our Jr. Warden or whoever was the good Samaratin who fixed the bathroom lights in Willie T's! Yea!

EATON HALL RESTORATION AND
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN OFF TO A GREAT START!

Restoration of Eaton Hall is well underway! Please take a peek at the top of the stairs in Eaton Hall to see the progress being made. Just as important is the progress made on the Capital Campaign. Pledges received to date total more than $260,000! Thank you!
While this is a great start to the campaign, we have a long way to go! (Just like the construction left to do on Eaton Chapel).
The total goal of the Capital Campaign over the next three years is $500,000 to include sanctuary lighting enhancements and the growth of restricted funds.

It's easy to participate - here are some suggestions:
  • Fill out and return the Capital Campaign form sent to you in the mail. (More are available in the office if misplaced).
  • Send us a written note regarding the amount you wish to give over the next three years - yearly, quarterly, monthly, weekly or a one-time gift.
  • Drop your check off at the parish office or put it in the offering plate designating on the memo line the amount given for the Capital Campaign.
  • Pay by credit card - go to www.trinitygalv.org, click on "Donate Today" at the top of the page. Be sure to designate Capital Campaign or contact Camille Haglund in the church office to help you set up online credit payments.
If you have any questions, please contact Rev. Susan Kennard at 979.248.7849 or Camille Haglund in the Church office.
