Thank You, Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee
Temple Sinai will be receiving over $9000 this year from Federation as Religious School scholarship assistance for families who applied and qualified. This kind of direct support of our educational program is needed and affirming. Thank you, too, to our families who made the effort and took the time to complete the necessary paperwork.
Temple-wide Collections for October and November
DURING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER
Women of Sinai is collecting gently-used children's books for donation to HIPPY, a home-based, early childhood education program for three, four and five year old children who aren't able to attend pre-school.  There is a collection box in the School Lobby.

DURING THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER
Women of Sinai is collecting diapers and wipes to donate to Mothers Helping Mothers. Open packages accepted. Used clothing will be accepted as well. We hope to have a Pack n' Play in the School Lobby for the donations. (Anyone have an old one we can borrow?)

Believe it or not, it's not too early to think about next summer
As you may know, registration for returning campers has begun for the Summer of 2016! That's the signal that it's time to think about Jewish camp for your child or grandchild.
In addition to Camp Coleman, which is a camp for 3rd - 12th graders in Cleveland, GA, the Reform movement sponsors a teen leadership experience at Kutz Camp in Warwick, NY, a sports camp, 6 Points, in Greensboro, NC and a a tech camp, Sci-Tech, outside Boston, MA. So many choices!
Amy Smyler, the Associate Director of Camp Coleman will be speaking at Temple Sinai on Sunday, December 13. More information about scholarships will be forthcoming.
Look how we celebrate!
